Last Friday we had some good help from some of Schenectady High IB students - thanks for the help with weeding and making the new bed for mustard greens!
Charlotte has been showing members & volunteers how to harvest squash and how to look for beetles & their eggs. We have a LOT of beetles, especially brownish red ones in the ground that come up in the evening and chew plants. Any time you run into one of those, squahs it or dorwn it - there's a yogurt container filled with soapy water that has a lid on it at the beginning of the row of peas.
